People are now a lot more savvy about bogus statistics and manipulative marketing. It takes a lot more finesse and respectable approaches, because there’s an entire community out there that will turn on you if you’re above board with them.

Social media is changing everything in a big way and it’s happening fast. More people are now looking to social media to exchange opinions or reviews on products. Word-of-mouth has evolved to a point where a few bad responses can sink a marketing ship quicker than you can build it. Being aware of your online reputation is one of the most important elements of doing business. People put a lot of stock in what other users are saying about you. Good testimonials and other social media examples, if done properly, can do just as well to help foster the popularity of brand. This is why social media is taken so seriously, and SEO has become such a large part of online marketing.


You have to put your best face forward in today’s media culture. You can’t overtly manipulate users into buying or using your product.
