WordPress.com has informed several bloggers around the world that they are experiencing an internal, programmatic error. The error seems to be affecting the entire site network, so it’s millions of sites and people’s personal blogs.
Most of the 18 million WordPress.com publishers trying to access their back-end are currently receiving this error message:
“We’re experiencing some problems on WordPress.com and we are in read-only mode at the moment. We’re working hard on restoring full service as soon as possible, but you won’t be able to create or make changes to your site currently.”
According to the WordPress.com official Twitter account, this problem is not caused by a DDoS or other attack.
Both of these deals made the big headlines and with good reason. Back in August 19 , 2010, by day’s end, 441,000 Groupons of the GAP deal were sold, bringing in a little more than $11 million. Groupon usually splits the revenue with partners, but declined to disclose its share.
However, there’s another company that is making good use of the group buying industry. Keeping under the radar, Fandango has been dishing out deal after deal through group buying websites. Here’s how Fandango does it.
When talking about Charlie Sheen, you’re bound to have some supporters and some critics, but you will definitely not find somebody who is not quick to provide an opinion. Between his”tiger blood”, “winning”, his “warlock brain” has uttered so many quotable catch-phrases that is hard to avoid his presence anywhere in the media. From Entertainment Weekly to TMZ.com to Twitter, everybody just can’t get enough of Charlie Sheen.
While I don’t support his behavior, you can definitely take 3 important lessons from his social media strategy.

If you are an affiliate located in Arizona or Minnesota, then beware the online taxman!
Both states are considering adoption of the Affiliate Nexus Tax. Basically, the law says if an online retailer has affiliate marketers in the state, then the retailer is responsible for collecting and remitting sales tax. As a result, if the law is passed, hundreds of merchants may decide to terminate their relationship with you.
Problems with Affiliate Nexus Tax
Bills of this ilk are often mistakenly informally referred to as “The Amazon Tax” or “Internet Tax.” But these names are misleading because the tax, which is complex and takes on many different forms, singles out just one group within the online advertising space: affiliates.
