Launched in August 2010 by Edo Cohen and Ran Margalist, Seevolution aims to provide single platofrm to manage your site’s real-time analytics, click maps, and eye tracking. While other web analytic shops focus on a specific feature (e.g. CrazyEgg only provides with heatmap-related features), the Los Angeles-based company aims to provide a one-stop solution so that you don’t have to any other site.
Click maps such as the one below are part of the suite of tools that Seevolution offers.
This image shows how people that visits the company site are interested more in WordPress and Drupal, than in Magento.
A caveat about Seevolution is that this is platform designed for visual thinkers. For example, take a look at the eye tracking report presented above. If you are a spreadsheet whiz, who prefers to have direct access to the data so that you can analyze it, then this platform may not be your choice.
Still, Seevolution makes up for that by developing plugins for some of the most popular Content Management Systems (CMS) and eCommerce Storefront solutions on the web such as WordPress, Magento and Drupal. Therefore, it is not a surprise that Seevolution’s use is spreading. Some big names that are using Seevolution are Microsoft Windows Live, Nestle, and Palms Casino Resort.
