Once your business is up and running is get the word out. You want people to associate you with some very specific things. On the surface level, you want your logo and name to be immediately recognizable. You also want to make sure that the association people have with your name and logo is positive. Both of these things take some work, but there are a few things that you can do to make it easier. One of those things is customized branded products.
Branded Clothing
In addition to having your employees wear a uniform that features your company name and logo (where doing so is appropriate), you should also have branded clothing available that isn’t a part of the regular uniform. T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats even jackets are things that you should have on hand not just to give to your employees but to give out as prizes to customers, to give as a gift to a potential business partner and just to sell to fans of your company.
Think of all of the times that you’ve worn a free shirt as you’ve gone grocery shopping or ran errands. You were a walking advertisement for that company! Make sure that other people have the opportunity to advertise for you. Of course, if you want to make sure that people actually wear this clothing out in public and not just as a smock while doing a messy project, you want to make sure that you give out shirts, hats, etc that are durable and well made.
Branded Office Supplies
There are a few reasons to brand your major office supplies (writing utensils, pads of paper, sticky pads, etc). Doing this can help give your office a more uniform look. That’s the superficial reason.
The “meaty” reason is that it is a fantastic way to practice some guerrilla marketing. If all of your office supplies are branded with your information and logo, then every note you write, every time you let someone use a pen who forgets to give it back, every sticky-note you leave for someone serves as a reminder of you, your business and what you can offer.
You can even do a little bit overt guerilla marketing by taking your branded pens, pencils, and sticky-pads and leaving them in places where people are going to need them the most like the bank or the grocery store. It’s cheap, easy and you never know who is going to look at your pen and go “Hey, I’ve been looking for someone who [does what you do]!”
Branded Gifts
A great way to put your business in front of someone on a regular basis is to have gifts printed up with your business name and logo and send them to your best customers, your investors and even the people you hope to do business with in the future. Things like small calendars, magnets, coffee mugs, etc—they are all welcomed gifts by those that receive them and they put your company right in front of the recipient’s face every day, reminding that person that you are ready to help them with your products or services.
There are lots of reasons customized branded items are a good idea, not the least of which is the thrill you’ll get when you go out to and see someone wearing your shirt, using one of your pens, etc.
Brand always speaks genuineness and standard. So my office prefers branded supplies. Branded products gives guarantee assurance and thus acquire an emotional hold.
