The Fallacy of Ever-Growing Online Sales

ecommerce

In 2012, B2C ecommerce sales grew 21.1% to top $1 trillion for the first time, according to new global estimates by eMarketer. In the same report, eMarketer indicates that sales in North America grew 13.9% to a world-leading $364.66 billion in 2012, as more consumers are spending their dollars online. It is expected that this figure increases by 12.2% to $409.05 billion this 2013. If you are an online retailer, these are very exciting news.

Given this exciting outlook for online sellers, they would be tempted to think that in order to increase their sales, all that they need to do is to attract more people to their sites. While this is one part of the equation, it is not all of it.

How to Get Your MyLife Refund

no to fomo mylife

Back in September 2012, I wrote a review of Mylife.com. To recap MyLife.com (formerly Reunion.com) is a social network service founded in 2002, which claims to help members find and keep in touch with friends, relatives and lost loves. Their main strength was the acquisition of extensive alumni network data gathering companies.

Getting Your MyLife Refund

This people search engine is experiencing some customer service blues due its auto-renewal billing feature. According to the company, this feature is intended to guarantee that paid and premium subscription members receive uninterrupted service. Unfortunately, there needs to be a better job of communicating this to the customers.

Here is how to get your MyLife Refund:

1. Call MyLife.com customer care reps at calling (888) 704-1900 Monday through Friday from 6am to 9pm PST and Saturday through Sunday from 6am to 6pm PST.

2. The rep will verify your identity. Indicate that you want to cancel your membership. You will retain access to membership services until the end of your subscription term.

3. Paypal users: You also need to cancel your Paypal scheduled payments. You can do this logging in to your Paypal account, emailing them, or by calling Paypal’s customer service at (888) 221-1161 4am to 10 pm PST Monday through Friday or 6am to 8pm PST Saturday and Sunday. If you decide to call, make sure to get a one-time passcode through their portal for faster service.

Diversify Your Blog with Video Blogging

video blogging

There are many reasons why bloggers may decide to incorporate video blogging onto their site. Sometimes it is out of a desire for diversity, since both the reader and the writer may get bored of large amounts of text. Sometimes it is because the blogger has something that they’d rather say – or show – with verbal rather than written words. And sometimes the blogger is just lazy (or in a hurry) and would rather talk their thoughts than write them down.

Whatever your reason may be for incorporating video blogging, it is important to plan out your strategy beforehand rather than simply jumping right in. Making a change to your blog is like making an investment. Here are some things to keep in mind:
