The Advantage of Static HTML Links over Temporary Links

static backlink

Unlike traditional temporary text link placement that charge a monthly fee for placement, static HTML links work in the best interest of online advertisers and webmasters. The main advantage of static HTML links over temporary links (e.g. month-to-month backlinks) is that static HTML links are followed by crawlers from all major search engines such as Google and Bing without raising any red flags.

Creating a Hub for your Social Media Presences

social media madnessThe emergence of social media as a powerful tool for networking cannot be denied. Ranging from Facebook to Instagram to Digg, people can meet peers with similar interests and grow their businesses. Three common challenges from organizations jumping into social are that they feel that they must be in every single possible social media channel available, that they need to keep them completely separate from their major online presence, and that they need to have absolute control on what happens within the social media channel.

Marketing in Tough Times – Revisit your Product Positioning

By Matthew Simmons, Snap Marketing

product positioningIn the face of an economic slowdown such as the one we are experiencing (and I have now been through 4!), its very easy to become despondent and to believe that the only way to survive is to cut back, keep your head down and sweat it out. In a dim and distant past I was a biologist and to my thinking recessions are actually rather like the commercial version of the ice‐ages. The Ice Ages were massive step changes in evolution of life on earth, and we all know what happened to the dinosaurs – but we also know that life did continue after such cataclysmic events – but only life that was able to adapt to the new conditions at the time.

And guess what, when the sun shone again, the ice melted, to reveal a new environment these adaptable life forms thrived. Commercially, the same is true during recessions – only those companies with solid business models, great and well focused products built on a solid plan will thrive after the recession.

So let’s look at one quick strategy to ensure you don’t end up like the dinosaurs!

While it’s yet unknown whether those users leaving Netflix will stay away or eventually return, both Blockbuster and Redbox are enjoying increases in rental numbers and income. Of these two major brick-and-mortar organizations, which will win the “real rental” wars?
