Predicting the World Cup 2010 Winner

Of the 32 countries lining up for the 2010 edition of the World Cup, happening this June 11 to July 11, only 2 will play the final match on July 11th.

However, just like in ‘Highlander’: there can only be one!

Who will be the winner of the World Cup 2010 in South Africa?

That’s the question on everybody’s mind, including Mr. Beckham here on the left, who does not look to happy when the U.S. tied with England on June 12.

The answer to this question is not only relevant to football fans around the world trying to hit the jackpot both on online and offline gambling places, but also relevant to online marketers who are doing extensive SEO and SEM work throughout this month to catch a piece of the World Cup search engine pie (for more details refer to this article on the implications of the World Cup 2010 to online marketers).

Here are some specific probabilities that will help both football fans and online marketers predict who will win the World Cup 2010.

Why Hosted PBX is a Good Investment

The Customer is King.

This business maxim has and always will be true.

When businesses start booming, the first thing to start lagging is customer service, which is quite a shame since word-of-mouth about poor customer service could kill a business overnight.

Even though email, social media and chat features are awesome tools to communicate with your customer, nothing beats actually talking directly with somebody over the phone.

However, in order to set up an efficient and effective customer call center for your business, you will need:  a closet-full of hardware on-site, a long-term contract with a premises-based PBX provider, and a big bankroll for monthly bills and, let’s not forget, upgrade bills once you outgrow your current system.

There’s a better and more cost-effective alternative to premises-based PBX: hosted PBX.

World Cup 2010 Latino T-shirts

The World Cup 2010 starts this June 11th.

The first games are:

South Africa vs Mexico – June 11 @ 4:00 am (HST)

Uruguay vs France – June 11 @ 8:30 am (HST)

As you can notice the first two matches involve 2 Latino football powerhouses, one from North America and the other one from South America.

Other Latino teams playing in this edition of the FIFA World Cup are Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Honduras.

Latino fans are well known around the world for their passion for the game and their creativity when rooting for their favorite teams.

Buying a jersey from your favorite Latino team is always a good idea, but an even better one is to think outside the box and get some unusual ones that will not only make a great conversation starter but will allow you to support non-mainstream Latino designers.

Here are my 3 personal picks.

World Cup 2010 Starts June 11th

Fútbol.

Futebol.

Football.

No matter what you call it: The biggest sports event in the world (besides the Olympics) is finally here.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th FIFA World Cup, the premier international football tournament. It is scheduled to take place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa. The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the culmination of a qualification process that began in August 2007 and involved 204 of the 208 FIFA national teams. As such, it matches the 2008 Summer Olympics as the sports event with the most competing nations. This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation, after South Africa beat Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process.

What are the implications of the 2010 FIFA World Cup for online marketers?

Pros And Cons Of The iPad

Look out Star Trek, here comes the iPad. Looking very similar to the handheld devices in the hands of Captain Jean Luc Picard on the Enterprise, Apple has presented us with the iPad.

The commercials and media coverage has all but declared this next new addition to our technology arsenal as nothing less than a must-have. Having only been available for just over a month, Apple is reporting sales of 200,000 of these little miracles a week.

Naturally, the media coverage on these technology puppies has been growing like virtual kudzu on the net. One in five people have reported that they have plans to buy an iPad within the next year. Consumer reviews state that there’s a reported 92 to 99 percent of satisfied iPad users according to a poll conducted by ChangeWave.

And that’s just in America. It hasn’t even started infiltrating the rest of the world. But, what’s the real deal on the iPad? Is it just another unneeded device, or is it on the road to revolutionizing the way we do things, like the commercials proclaim?
